Shipping Your Wine

Brentwood Wine Company is committed to protecting the integrity of every bottle that we sell. Wine can become damaged if exposed to extreme temperatures while in transit, so we work closely with each client to assure every bottle arrives at its destination in optimum condition.

Safe Delivery

Matching the appropriate delivery service with current weather conditions is the best way to assure that your wine will arrive in perfect condition. We offer a variety of delivery options to assure safe delivery, which are listed below. We also give all of our customers the option to store purchases in our temperature controlled cellar for up to 30 days while extreme weather conditions subside, or to build a case for economical shipping. If a customer prefers to hold their orders for longer than 30 days after purchase when safe shipping is possible, we offer storage at $14 per case, per month for providing this service.

Express Shipping

Brentwood always recommends the use of express shipping to ensure that your wines arrive in perfect condition. This is especially true when temperatures above eighty degrees or below thirty-five degrees are expected at any point on the transit route.

Golden State Overnight

Customers in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington may choose to have their wine shipped via GSO which offers 1-2 day delivery service.  *Speed of delivery is subject to change based on GSO’s current package volume and delivery zip code, contact our customer service team to receive a personalized estimated delivery date.

FedEx Cold Chain

Available from late spring through early fall, Benchmark/Brentwood is happy to offer FedEx Cold Chain Service to most locations throughout the continental US. When using this service, your wines will be transported in a refrigerated environment to a major distribution hub near you, ensuring that your wines arrive in perfect condition in any weather. Expedited Shipping

Due to the complexities involved when shipping wine, Brentwood does not automatically ship a new order without consulting the customer first. If you would like your order to ship ASAP, please indicate reply to the invoice you receive via email following the auction. Typical turnaround time for an ASAP shipment is 24 hours, however during the holidays and busy shipping seasons, times can be longer.

International Shipping

We ship to clients throughout the world utilizing FedEx International Services. Recipients are responsible for all duties and taxes which may be charged by customs when entering the receiving country. We strongly suggest that you research the local laws and applicable duties and taxes before shipping. All sales made to destinations outside the United States are final upon shipment. Absolutely no refunds or returns can be made once the shipment leaves our warehouse. For large international shipments, we work regularly with JF Hillebrand, Yamato Transport and Groskopf.

Local Pick Up and Oregon Pallet

All of our wine is located in Napa, California where you can pick-up at Benchmark Wine Group. Please contact your client relations representative to schedule a time to pickup and confirm your orders are ready.

For Oregon and Southwest Washington customers, you may opt onto our periodic Oregon Pallet Shipment for $1/bottle ($2/magnums and larger). The pallet ships when it fills up so the timing can range from 1-3 months at a time. Once delivered, you can pick up your wines at our Oregon office location.

State Shipping Laws

Some state shipping laws restrict our ability to ship wine. If your state is not available as a shipping option during check-out, please call 707.255.3500 to discuss your options.

Returns/Credits

Brentwood Wine Company will accept in-store credit or replacement bottle(s) for wine that is defective (corked, oxidized, or heat-damaged) or received in error. The price of the hammer plus premium will be credited, however shipping fees will not. Wines with defects must be within six months of original receipt from Brentwood.

Brentwood Wine Company will accept return and refund or credit for wine received in conditions not noted in auction. Customers must notify Brentwood within 7 days of receipt otherwise return will not be accepted.
