Aubert Vineyard Chardonnay Lauren Vyd 2006
Current Winning Bidder:  New Item   Starting Bid:  $135   Quantity Available: 6   "The 2006 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard looks to be the best of the litter, so to speak, in this vintage. Striking liquid minerality intermixed with quince, citrus blossom, crushed rocks, and white flowers are all present in this exceptionally concentrated, beautifully pure Chardonnay that, despite being aged in 100% new oak, reveals very little oak. This is another spectacular Chardonnay from Mark Aubert." RP

Bond Cabernet Sauvignon St. Eden 2004
Current Winning Bidder:  New Item   Starting Bid:  $300   Quantity Available: 12   "The 2004 St. Eden seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. A wine of great complexity, richness, and intensity, with oodles of creme de cassis fruit and plenty of roasted herbs and meatiness, with exceptional power and richness, this wine hasfleshed out since I had it last year, and seems to be destined to be one of Bond’s most compelling wines, a full-bodied wine with great purity, richness, and beautifully integrated acidity, wood, and tannin. Give it 1-3 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 25 years." RP

Colgin Cabernet Sauvignon Herb Lamb Vyd 1992
Current Winning Bidder:  New Item   Starting Bid:  $445   Quantity Available: 1   "outrageously delicious...a gorgeously sweet nose of blueberries and blackberries intertwined with smoky, toasty oak. The enormously opulent texture, viscous richness, and huge quantities of sweet, pure fruit were deftly balanced by just enough acidity and ripe tannin. This full-bodied, awesomely-endowed wine has never shown better than it did in this blind tasting against some of the greatest wines produced in Bordeaux. Although soft enough to be drunk, it promises to evolve for at least 20 years." RP

Colgin IX Estate 2005
Current Winning Bidder:  New Item   Starting Bid:  $420   Quantity Available: 3   "My favorite of the 2005 Colgins is the 2005 IX Proprietary Red Estate, a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot...which has a Bordeaux framework but the exuberance and richness as well as fruit purity of a great Napa wine...deep purple in color with an extraordinary nose of scorched earth, blueberries, and black currants intermixed with some subtle charcoal notes, spice, box and spring flowers, it is very full-bodied, but beautifully structured and well-delineated. This is a beauty of harmony, power, and great intensity, but it is light on its feet, and an exceptional example of what this high-elevation hillside estate vineyard is capable of producing. This wine should hit its prime in 5-6 years and last for three or more decades." RP

Colonial Estate Shiraz Exile 2002
Current Winning Bidder:  New Item   Starting Bid:  $105   Quantity Available: 3   "($199)Produced from a dry-farmed, single vineyard of old vine Shiraz (some of which are 120 years old), the stunning, inky/purple-tinged 2002 Shiraz Exile was aged in 100% new French oak. A sweet nose of black fruits, flowers, melted licorice, and espresso roast precedes a wine of amazing concentration, compelling intensity, and a tremendous finish of more than 60 seconds. Although expensive, readers must take into consideration the age of the vines as well as the limited production. This exquisite Shiraz is approachable, but promises to hit its peak in 3-5 years, and last for two decades. Kudos to proprietor Jonathan Malthus for his work in the Barossa" RP

Marquis Philips Shiraz Integrity 2001
Current Winning Bidder:  New Item   Starting Bid:  $230   Quantity Available: 1   "virtually perfect. Both Sarah and Sparky Marquis, who have made some great wines, consider this the finest they have ever produced. I can't disagree, and those who love big, rich, concentrated, multidimensional Australian Shiraz may think I underscored it by a point. a magnificent nose of white flowers, blackberries, cassis, and a hint of espresso. Dense, with thrilling levels of concentration, a multi-tiered mid-palate, and sweet tannin in the 50-second finish, this wine was made from relatively young vines, and the alcohol is a lofty 16.2%, but that's irrelevant when tasting a wine that is this perfectly balanced and compelling. Anticipated maturity:2004-2020. Marquis Philips is the most exciting wine project to emerge from Australia, and perhaps the New World, in the last year.
