| Company Info
Brentwood Wine
Company was founded in 1998 by David Parker based on a vision of
bringing fine and rare wine and the world's best wine accessories to wine lovers in a
service-oriented and low cost manner. David previously headed engineering for a division
of Tektronix, one of Oregon's largest high tech firms, and is a vineyard owner and avid
fine wine collector.
Offering the first continuous
Internet fine wine auction in the world, as well as being the first authorized internet
reseller of Riedel Crystal in the western United States, has allowed Brentwood
Wine to grow to be the largest independent wine retailer in
the Northwest. Working closely with licensed importers and distributors to assure all
applicable laws are being followed, Brentwood Wine gains access
to the rarest and most desirable wines of the world and arranges for purchases of
private collections. Highlights include successfully selling the oldest drinkable
bottle of wine in the world (from the 1727 vintage), being selected as the sole outlet for
the top German producer's rarest and best wine and selling the collection
of a top Hollywood producer.
Brentwood Wine
Company operates the the Riedel Crystal retail site riedelsales.com
and has acquired the premier business-to-consumer internet auction site, AuctionVine.com.
To demonstrate the strength of this segment, the first auction at this site after the
merger featured over $1 Million of the world's very best wines.
Brentwood Wine Company is now affiliated with Benchmark Wine Group, Napa, CA and the The Wine Market Journal at www.winemarketjournal.com.
